Prices

All prices are in South African rand (ZAR). Salon Spotlight is not registered for VAT, so no VAT is added to any price and no VAT amount appears on any order.

Ordering and payment

Checkout requires an account, and the cart shows every item and its price for review before payment. Payment is made on Yoco's hosted payment page; this site never sees or stores card details. An order is confirmed once Yoco confirms the payment.

When checkout starts, the stock in the order is held for 15 minutes while payment completes. If payment is not completed in that time, the hold lapses and the items return to sale. A unique specimen is one physical plant and is sold only once.

Delivery and collection

Orders are supplied within South Africa, door to door by The Courier Guy. The delivery fee is calculated at checkout from the number of plants (each plant counts as 1 kg; up to 5 kg: R 300, over 5 kg up to 10 kg: R 450, over 10 kg up to 15 kg: R 600, over 15 kg up to 20 kg: R 750, then R 150 more for every further 5 kg) and is part of the total before payment. Parcels are dispatched Monday to Wednesday to prevent plants from getting stuck in the courier network over weekends. Plants are sent bare-rooted. Visits to the greenhouse in Kempton Park are by appointment only, arranged by email at info@cliviasforsale.com; a buyer with a visit code issued for that visit may collect the order there instead of paying for delivery. Lead times for each delivery method are set out on the delivery and returns page.

Returns and statutory rights

Nothing in these terms limits a consumer's rights under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 or the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002, including the rights those Acts give in respect of defective goods. The cooling-off right and the returns process are set out on the delivery and returns page. If an item paid for cannot be supplied, the amount paid for it is refunded. A plant that arrives damaged or not as described is reported from the order page in Your account within 48 hours of delivery, as set out on the delivery and returns page. To raise any other problem with an order, email info@cliviasforsale.com.
